International Baccalaureate
IB PYP is a concept driven programme with a key objective to to develop students' "Tuning In", "Finding Out", "Sorting Out'', "Going Further", "Making Conclusions" and "Taking Action", students get the best learning effect through real learning by incorporating their learning with the "real" world. The programme also nurtures students' international mindedness, and foster them to become people who can study with an industrious attitude, an inquiring mind and are knowledgeable and caring for others. Through their understanding and respect to diverse cultures, they contribute themselves to help building a better and more peaceful world.
In line with the philosophy and practices of the IB programme, the school introduces inquiry learning into traditional subject learning to engage students' interests, enthusiasm and initiatives in learning.
In our curriculum, trans-disciplinary learning units guide and motivate students to always think from multiple perspectives and develop multiple-levels thinking skills. It also enhances students' ability to research and construct knowledge and develop skills across different subjects.
We deliver Hong Kong's school curriculum content through the pedagogical approach and framework of the IB programme. Resulting from this is a unique modern curriculum design that meets of 21st century teaching and learning expectations. The IB programme places heavy emphasis on the development of student's international mindedness, while at the same time requiring them to understand and respect their national and cultural characteristics and heritage.
